Bandana Shrestha is the Director of Community Engagement for AARP Oregon. She leads AARP’s livable community work in Oregon including growing and supporting the Network of Age-friendly Communities in the state, advocating for policies and programs that enhance affordable and accessible housing options, and expanding transportation and mobility options for all. Before joining AARP, Bandana served as Director of Model Programs and Partnerships for the Points of Light Foundation.  She has a BA from Linfield College and an MFA from the University of Oregon. Originally from Nepal, Bandana is passionate about and committed to empowerment-based, people-centered solutions to social change.
