Thach Nguyen is a first generation Vietnamese American.  He received his MPA degree from Portland State University. His professional background is in juvenile justice, education and social work.  He has worked with youth, families, and the community for more than 30 years. He retired from Multnomah County Department of Community Justice in 2013. He has served on numerous boards and committees.  He is one of the founders of Asian Family Center.  He was the President of IRCO Board of Directors for several years and one of the founders of APANO.
