Artthew Ng is a Political Organizer at APANO. They are a First Generation Chinese American and are the child of immigrants from Hong Kong. They were raised in Clackamas, Oregon. (Predominantly on the lands of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians) While in high school, Artthew started their school’s first Asian Student Union and joined Shades of Unity PDX. They were also an officer in Portland State’s Hong Kong Student Association. Their involvement in Shades of Unity influenced them to study the Prison Industrial complex and Racial Justice.
Outside of APANO, Artthew cooks and bakes for their community, advises school teachers with Shades of Unity, produces music, and plays video games. Their passion is in politics, law, organizing, and music.
