APANO January Monthly Meeting

Join our first Monthly Membership Meeting of 2015 on Thursday, January 8th at our new Jade District office! If you missed our Holiday Party, now is your chance to check out our new space AND find out what's happening in 2015. RSVP here!

Our Membership Meetings are for new and current APANO members interested in getting involved. Dinner and networking begins at 5:30 p.m. with the meeting starting at 6 p.m. We will spend time talking about building political power among Asian and Pacific Islander communities and the upcoming Legislative Session.

Looking for deeper ways to get involved? Our Work Groups are a great way work on specific issues.

APANO Work Groups for 2015:

Strong Families Work Group- focus on reproductive rights, gender justice and queer justice.
Education Equity- focus on improving outcomes for English Language Learners and parent engagement
Health Equity and Reform Team (HEART)- focus on addressing health disparities and healthcare access
Legislative Action Teams- focus on winning better policies for API communities through civic engagement and policy advocacy
Communications Committee - Do you love to blog? Are you a social media enthusiast? We're building a brand new communications team to support APANO's work in amplifying API voices. Come to the break out session to learn how you can get involved!
