Jade International Night Market
One of our major strategies to achieve our goal of community stability is supporting key small businesses in the neighborhood. As part of this work and through the community visioning done with volunteers from the area, we decided to hold the Jade International Night Market on an annual basis. Though we took a break early on in the COVID-19 pandemic, Jade International Night Market has returned in 2023!
One of the main goals of the market is to give local businesses the opportunity to promote their businesses and generate revenue while creating a positive event that reflects the culture of the residents of the area. The event debuted in 2014 and was wildly successful, bringing approximately 20,000 people to the neighborhood to share in the culture and atmosphere of the neighborhood. In 2015, the event grew to include three times as many businesses and again brought residents together to share their culture and experience with their neighbors. We hope you’ll join us this summer!

APANO offers yearround workshops for small business owners, often inviting legal professionals and fellow business owners to share their expertise and knowledge.

The Jade Distict has over a decade’s worth of history of anti-gentrification efforts to keep our community rooted and thriving.
APANO’s first affordable housing residence, Orchards of 82nd, was officially opened in 2018 with 48 permanent affordable housing units, thanks to our partners at Metro, Rose CDC, Portland Housing Bureau and Prosper Portland. Legin Commons is the second housing residence launching in July 2026, followed by the Jade Apartments in August 2026.
Affordable housing in the Jade District is only possible when our communities decided it was time to raise their voices and to determine their own futures. These aren’t just buildings. We are building community hubs to ensure our neighbors have the tools and resources to advocate for themselves and thrive.
