API Health Justice Forum Keynote Speaker: Dina Shek

We are proud to announce Dina Shek as Keynote Speaker for API Health Justice Forum on Saturday, April 2nd. Register to attend today!

Dina Shek is a licensed attorney in the state of Hawai‘i, and currently the Legal Director for the Medical-Legal Partnership for Children, a program she co-founded in 2009. The organization strives to address and improve the social determinants of health that impact child and family well-being by engaging in “preventive legal care” alongside “preventive health care.”

Prior to entering law school in 2003, Dina spent nearly ten years as a community organizer, educator and advocate for social and community justice. She has worked closely with COFA and specifically Micronesian communities in Hawaii.

She is a proud graduate of the William S. Richardson School of Law. Dina is also a clinic instructor and the co-Director for Community Projects for the WSRSL Health Law Policy Center. She has won numerous awards and distinctions for her social justice work including the Distinguished Service Award from the Japanese American Citizens League (Honolulu Chapter) for her work with Micronesian communities in Hawaii.
