Fall Volunteer Social 2016

From attending our summer events, registering new voters, to helping with our Jade International Night Market, or attending a workshop, we want to THANK OUR VOLUNTEERS for volunteering with APANO over the summer with a Fall Volunteer Social on September 23rd (5:30-7pm)!

Because of our dedicated volunteers, we collectively registered 200 community members from July through August at a dozen community events, increasing our visibility and expanding our grassroots power! That is 200 more Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders who can vote on November 8th Election Day. That is huge, and significant. During the last Presidential election, less than half of all Asian Americans nation-wide voted. The lowest of any other racial group. That has to change, and it starts with raising awareness and educating community members about important issues this year.

The next 8 weeks are going to be critical for us. We will continue to ramp up our voter registration efforts and launching a "35 Days of Why I Vote" social media campaign, capturing diverse voices of our community members and why they vote.

Please join us at FALL VOLUNTEER SOCIAL to connect with folks, to get plugged into civic engagement opportunities this Fall, meet other volunteers, and find out how you can help us get out the API vote in the next 8 weeks. It's an informal gathering with delicious food provided! RSVP is required, so please sign up today!
