Empowering Pacific Islander Communities (EPIC) was founded in 2009 by a group of young Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander professionals based in Southern California. EPIC serves the community through its empowerment of leaders through civic engagement and leadership development; its search for research opportunities that generates data voicing the needs in the NHPI communities; and its development of advocates and advocacy tools and continued advocacy at the local and national level.
