Nominate an individual and group for APANO’s 2014 Awards

APANO is accepting nominations for two awards given out annually.

Dr. Phyllis Lee Award for Outstanding Advocacy

The Dr. Phyllis Lee Award is given to an individual from our community who has demonstrated a significant commitment to social justice, empowerment, and the advancement of equity and access for Asian and Pacific Islander communities and all Oregonians.

APANO Empowered Partner for Equity Award

The APANO Empowered Partner for Equity Award recognizes outstanding organizing and advocacy on the part of a community based organization that promotes APANO’s vision of a just and equitable world where Asians and Pacific Islanders are fully engaged in the social, economic and political issues that affect us.

Nominations Process

To nominate an individual, please submit a one page letter to info@apano.org that highlights the person and how they have met the spirit of the award. Describe an experience that demonstrates their qualities. Please include contact information for yourself and for the nominee.
