APANO Seeks a Bilingual Parent Organizer - Vietnamese

Position Title: Bilingual Parent Organizer – (Vietnamese and English)
Reports To: Education Justice Manager
Duration: Regular Position
Hours: Part Time (8-10 hours/week)
Compensation: $16-$20/hour depending on experience
Benefits: Pro-rated paid holidays, accrued paid time off, flexible schedule

Position Overview

The Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon (APANO) is looking for a motivated, creative, and organized individual to contribute to and implement organizing goals to build grassroots power within Asian and Pacific Islander communities in Oregon to advance racial and social justice. The Parent Organizer is a key member of the APANO organizing staff, responsible for implementing our organizing model in Portland, Oregon. The position will build and manage an engaged group of parents within the Portland Public School District who will take local action, develop the leadership skills of members, and initiate campaigns.
