Join us for a fun and festive Arbor Day Celebration at Harrison Park! Neighbors, families, and community members are invited to come together to celebrate trees and nature with APANO!

When: Saturday, October 17, 2026 | 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Where: Harrison Park, 2101 SE 84th Ave

We are excited to partner with the Urban Forestry team at Portland Parks to bring you this community Arbor Day Celebration! There will be something for everyone to enjoy at this event including tree planting, tree-themed activities, live performances, bucket truck rides for children, and free food from local Jade District vendors. You can also connect with local nonprofit organizations throughout the event and learn more about the services, programs, and resources they offer to support our community.

Arbor Day is a wonderful reminder of how much trees contribute to healthy, vibrant neighborhoods. They provide shade, support wildlife, improve our environment, and bring people together. This celebration is a chance to appreciate all they do while enjoying a day outdoors with friends and neighbors. “Trees are part of the very fabric of our city,” notes Portland City Forester Jenn Cairo. “They help keep Portland green and healthy. Trees offer shade; lower temperatures in homes and neighborhoods; provide wildlife habitat, beauty, and cleaner air; and help mitigate the effects of climate change. Arbor Day is a wonderful chance to celebrate all the value which trees offer to people and nature!”

So mark your calendar, bring the family, and come celebrate Arbor Day with us at Harrison Park. We look forward to sharing a fun-filled day of trees, community, activities, and good food with you!‍

We hope to see you there! 🌳
