Celebrate Arbor Day with us in the Jade District!

Join us for a fun and festive Arbor Day Celebration at Harrison Park! Neighbors, families, and community members are invited to come together to celebrate trees and nature with APANO!

We are excited to partner with the Urban Forestry team at Portland Parks to bring you this community Arbor Day Celebration! There will be something for everyone to enjoy at this event including tree planting, tree-themed activities, live performances, cherry bucket rides for children, and free food from local Jade District vendors. You can also connect with local nonprofit organizations throughout the event and learn more about the services, programs, and resources they offer to support our community. Take some time to stop by their tables, meet the people behind the organizations, ask questions, and discover ways you and your family can get involved. It’s a great opportunity to learn about the many local groups working to make our neighborhoods stronger, healthier, and more connected.

We’ll also celebrate the people and communities making a difference through the Naito Community Trees Award andTree City USA Awards. For those looking for a fun way to arrive, join the Arbor Day Bike Bus with PBOT and learn about heritage trees on your way to the celebration, for those who don't have a bike - you can also ride for free with BIKETOWN! Email claire.bach@portlandoregon.gov to get your BIKETOWN code today.

Be sure to also register for a free yard tree before the event, and then stop by the Yard Tree Giveaway to pick it up, happening from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It’s a great opportunity to bring home a tree and add a little more shade and greenery to your yard.

Arbor Day is a wonderful reminder of how much trees contribute to healthy, vibrant neighborhoods. They provide shade, support wildlife, improve our environment, and bring people together. This celebration is a chance to appreciate all they do while enjoying a day outdoors with friends and neighbors.
