Something new is coming to 2814 SE 90th Place, and we want to know what you think.

In 2018, the EPA-funded Greening the Jade report identified the then-privately owned 1.5-acre site at 2815 SE 90th Place as a potential park site because nearby residents have limited access to parks within walking distance. Metro purchased the site in 2025 using funds intended for affordable housing and affordable commercial space. Metro currently expects affordable housing to be part of the site’s future but has paused developer selection while APANO gathers community input.

Community input can help shape the balance of housing, green space, public access, and other site features. Some green space could be open to the public. A park without housing could move forward only if an organization purchases the site from Metro and takes responsibility for funding, development, and long-term operation. Metro expects to restart developer selection in December 2026.

APANO is gathering input through the end of November 2026 with a quick 5 minute survey, with an optional open house on Wednesday, Oct 1 5-7PM at Orchards of 82nd where residents, neighbors and community are welcomed to ask questions and share their input. No formal presentation or RSVP required. Families encouraged to attend!

Please note this questionnaire will not determine the site’s final use. Responses will help identify community needs and preferences related to housing, green space, and public access.
