- Eviction moratorium: The statewide ban on residential evictions has been extended until December 31, 2020. Read the the full explanation from the Oregon Law Center.
- Utility shutoffs: Portland-based utility providers PGE, Pacific Power, Portland Water Bureau, and Northwest Natural have suspended utility shutoffs.
- Pandemic Unemployment Assistance now available for sole proprietors and gig workers .
- Real ID: The federal government has extended the deadline for Real ID past October 1.

Information for workers and employers
- COVID-19 Related Business Layoffs, Closures, and Unemployment Insurance Benefits, State of Oregon Employment Department.
- Oregon Unemployment Insurance Information: The online application may be unavailable at times. For assistance starting your application, call (877) 345-3484. Interpretation services include Mandarin and Vietnamese. You will need your work history for the past 12 months (if you have worked for a single employer) or 18 months (if you have worked for more than one employer) and your Social Security or green card number. Once you have completed the phone application, you will need to call each week to report your status. You may not hear back about your benefits but should keep claiming each week.

Information for public charge
- Any kind of testing, preventive care, or treatment for COVID-19 will not impact a public charge determination. If you experience COVID-19 symptoms like fever, cough, or difficulty breathing and are in need of medical care, please contact your doctor. You should not hesitate to seek healthcare for COVID-19, even if you are subject to the public charge rule. For more information, see this USCIS guidance.
