Registration is now open for our biennial statewide Rolling Tides Convention happening October 1, 2016. Rolling Tides Statewide Convention is a day of cultural sharing and creating a vision for equity and empowerment in Oregon. Join API folks throughout the state of Oregon for a day of smart workshops, inspiring cultural performances, and a unique opportunity to build your knowledge, skills, and relationships. Workshops include Climate Justice 101, Community Organizing 101, The Art and Practice of Disability Justice, APIs for Black Lives, and more! See all the workshops offered here! Additionally, this year's Convention keynote is Bao Nguyen, Mayor of City of Garden Grove, the first Vietnamese American Democratic mayor in the United States and the first directly elected openly gay mayor in Orange County.

Rolling Tides Convention Evening Banquet

Following our day program, is our evening banquet accompanied by a dinner keynote-in-conversation with Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarsinha and Kathy Jetnil-Kijiner. Leah and Kathy will engage in a conversation on diaspora and displacement, issues that intersect with the API community from climate justice to disability justice, and the role of art and culture in movement building.
