Voices of Change: Celebrate APA Heritage Month

In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in May, APANO is inviting you to attend the 4th Annual Voices of Change Celebration! Each May, we take pause to reflect more intentionally on the history and the contributions of Asian and Pacific Islanders in our country. As a community, Asian and Pacific Islanders (API) are the fastest growing population in the US - 56% from 2000 to 2013. Today there are over 220,000 API across Oregon.

Join us on Thursday, May 7th, 2015 from 6:30-9:00pm for an evening of cultural performances, delectable food and the fellowship of 200+ supporters and friends. We are thrilled to host the event this year in the Jade, Portland’s International District. We will be at the home of the 2015 International Night Market, which attracted over 20,000 visitors last year.

Our keynote speaker is Lisa Hasegawa, Executive Director of the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development from California and Washington DC. Ms. Hasegawa has led community health centers and worked in the White House, bringing an important national perspective to our work in Oregon.

For sponsorship and volunteer opportunities, please contact Office & Events Manager, Melissa Magana at melissa@apano.org or call 971-340-4861. We look forward to celebrating with you!
