APANO August General Meeting

In July we gathered your opinions & concerns on the likely Ballot Measures Oregonians will be voting on Nov 4, with special guests Andrea Miller of Causa and Gregory Cendana of APALA. Our Strong Families & Health Equity leaders are working together on a new story collection project, and our Education Equity team is working to advance significant reform in ESL funding with the Governor.

For August, we will go deeper on civic engagement, creating space to organize and building leadership for Asian & Pacific Islanders around the Nov 4 Mid-Term Election. With your help, we will engage thousands of our community members through multilingual outreach and education. You’ll get a sneak peak of APANO’s Voter Guide, and we’ll discuss how our electoral work builds power for our policy advocacy in 2015 with the State Legislature.
